Short Bio

Dr. Schclar received his BSc, MSc (Summa Cum Laude) and PhD in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University. Alon was a Kreitman post-doc fellow at the Department of Software and Information Systems Engineering at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. 

During his PhD studies, Alon received the Fulbright PhD dissertation fellowship and was a research fellow at the Department of Applied Mathematics at Yale University. Alon co-authored over 30 papers in leading scientific journals and conferences. Alon reviewed dozens of papers in leading journals such as Expert Systems and Applications, Applied Soft Computing, Information Fusion and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering. 

His areas of interest include unsupervised and supervised machine learning and its applications, dimensionality reduction, data mining, ensemble methods, image and signal processing.
