Short Bio

Mr. Yossi Bezalel holds a B.S.in Mathematics, M.S. in Management Science with thesis, and have completed all the required coursework of the M.S in Mathematics program from Tel Aviv University. In the last three decades, Mr. Bezalel has taught a wide variety of courses in the department of Computer Science at the Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo, and in the department of Mathematics and Engineering at Tel Aviv University. During his tenure, Mr. Bezalel has been emphasizing conceptual learning of mathematical ideas and concepts. He also shifted the focus of his teaching in our college from being mainly about knowledge acquisition to include the development of the necessary skills students should have when they graduate from the college. Mr. Bezalel strongly believes that without skills, students are left to memorize facts and recall information, so he has been working very hard to provide students with opportunities to develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and more. Mr. Bezalel has been developing and teaching  a unique course in our college - Complex Analysis. This course is a nexus for many mathematical fields.

Mr. Bezalel received award for excellence in teaching by the Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo for 2017-2018.

Mr. Bezalel has developed the following practice handbooks: Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Linear Algebra 1, and Introduction to Complex Analysis. These handbooks are used by all students who study in the Department of Computer Science at the Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo.
